Founded in 2020, the KARE Foundation (Khalilur Rehman Aid and Relief Entity) is a charitable organization registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882. We work to promote education, research, and social upliftment through sustainable and inclusive initiatives. We help students and researchers connect with global institutions to take part in meaningful projects that make a real difference in society.

Mehrunnisa Focus Research Program Fellowship 2025
A flagship initiative dedicated to advancing education, research, and scientific innovation by supporting exceptional scholars in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Scholarship Overview
The fellowship provides a one-year education-cum-research program, with the possibility of a six-month extension based on performance and institutional recommendation.
Grant Amount
Up to USD 15,000
Covering living expenses
This fellowship is designed to give Indian scholars global exposure, advanced learning opportunities, and hands-on research experience at leading international institutions. The goal is to foster international collaboration and empower scholars to contribute meaningfully to India's academic and scientific development.
Application Process
1Submit Research Proposal
Submit a detailed research proposal related to your field of study in STEM:
- A two-page summary related to your STEM stream
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
2Secure Placement Offer
Obtain an official offer or invitation from a reputed university, research laboratory, or recognized R&D institute in the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia.
Deadline: December 31, 2025, 5:00 PM IST

Fellowship Conditions
Placement Requirement
Scholars must secure an official offer or invitation from a reputed university, research laboratory, or recognized R&D institute in the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia.
Deadline for Offer Submission
Scholars who are selected for the fellowship must submit the official acceptance or offer letter to the KARE Foundation by December 31, 2025, 5:00 PM IST. Failure to meet this deadline will result in automatic withdrawal of the fellowship.
Return and Service Commitment
Upon completing the fellowship, scholars are expected to return to India and serve for at least one academic year at a NAAC A+ accredited university or institution, ensuring that the knowledge and experience gained abroad benefit India's educational and research sectors.
Extension Clause
The fellowship may be extended by six months, contingent upon satisfactory performance and a formal recommendation from the host institution.
Code of Conduct
Scholars must uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and professional conduct. Any violation may lead to immediate termination of the award.
